Description: Patient Engagement Systems, formerly Vermedx, is a company whose proven Diabetes Patient Engagement System (DPES) technology was founded at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 2006 by Dr. Benjamin Littenberg and Dr. Charles MacLean. PES was launched based on the success of a five-year National Institute of Health funded study on the effectiveness of informatics on diabetes care.
